My Thoughts and Review:
For the most part when I think of Fairy Tales  I think of Disney. Although I want to I have never actually read the originals.  Cold Queen is K Webster's dark romance take on Frozen. So while I am envisioning Elsa and Anna; K Webster completely blows my mind with Elzira, Yanna, and Ryke.

Elzira is the Cold Queen, who has lost her gift and is dying from an unknown illness that killed her mother. Yanna is her half sister who appears completely devoted to her sister. Ryke is king of the Volcs, with the power of fire. He comes to Elzira's kingdom with the intention of wedding Yanna so that he may pass through Elzira's kingdom to a war in the land beyond. Tempers aren't the only things heating up between Elzira and Ryke during deliberations though.

I loved these characters. The way two powerful people bent and surrendered to each other. Learning that it was okay for one to take charge in some situations and step back behind the other in other situations.  With incredible fight scenes and hot bedroom sessions, this is not the Frozen your children know and love, but definitely the Frozen adults will love.
