Review: Stroked by Meghan Quinn

My Thoughts and Review:

This book.....it is amazing.  It is intense.  Meghan Quinn did an amazing job of bringing these characters to life.  She brought the thrill of being an Olympic athlete to life with her words.  There were times during the trials and the actual games I felt like I was there with Reese on the starting block, in the pool, or in the stands with Paisley. 

There were so many things to love about this book.  I loved Paisley.  I loved Reese.  For the most part I loved Jonathan.  Hollis and Melony were both amazing.  Then you get the ones you love to hate.  Bellini, I am so glad we were given her point of view in this book.  It made it that much easier to hate her.  She was down right evil.  Then there was Pocket, something was seriously not right with that one.  

This is a book I almost wish I could read again for the first time.  I can't wait until I can dive into the rest of the series.

My Thoughts and Review:

I really wanted to give this book 5 stars. Unfortunately historical fiction, especially WWII fiction, is not my genre of choice.  I read this book for a book club discussion, and am so incredibly glad I did.

For me this book was slow to start.  It was one that at times I had to tell myself I was supposed to be reading this book, I needed to finish this book.  Normally those things would result in me either DNFing the book, or giving it 3 or less stars.  In this case though, I think it was due more to the fact it was a WWII novel.  

It is an absolutely amazing book.  It is well written, with characters that will capture your heart.  Eva is a woman I would be proud to know.  I wish I was even half the woman she was.  What she did during that horrible event is utterly amazing.  I hated how her mother was so against her doing what she felt she needed to do.  

The ending of this book had me ugly crying tears of joy.  I never saw that end coming, but couldn't have imagined a better ending.  If you are a lover of WWII fiction, this is a book you will truly love.  I enjoyed it more than The Nightengale by Kristin Hannah.

This is an incredibly well written book about learning who you are so that you can truly enjoy true love. I loved both Willow and Hunter. They were each so different, yet similar. They both had their own mental illness/disabilities to over come so they could be the best version of themselves. There were also so many incredible secondary and supporting characters in this book.

This book was such a great read. I quickly fell in love with Luna and Harrison. I loved how Harrison goes from being a man who doesn't do relationships quickly becomes a man willing to do anything to prove to Luna they belong together. He fights for his chance with her. This is a great love story.

My thoughts and review:

If you have read the first two Everhart brothers books, you have had glimpses of Hazel and Scott's relationship. With Perfect for Me we finally get their story, with a twist. This book truly amazed me. While I have always thought Fitz was my favorite Everhart, Scott came close to stealing that title with this book.

Perfect for Me shows us a love triangle with Hazel, her first love Elliot, and Scott. This is no easy place for Hazel to be. This book is filled with incredible moments, great quotes, and so much love. It is all about finding that Infinite love, the one that is Perfect for you.

My Thoughts and Review:

This book is probably on of the best enemies-to-lovers I have read in awhile. Hayes is a workaholic who comes off as a playboy, but is really just misunderstood. Tali has been hurt by the only boyfriend she has ever had. She has a huge sense of responsibility that leads to her putting others before herself.

Tali hates Hayes, her best friend's boss, but will do anything to help her friend out including work for the devil himself.

These characters are incredible. I truly loved learning about each of them and following the push pull of their relationship. I loved that this book eventually gives the reader some super steamy scenes, but they a far from being the basis of this story.
