Review: All of Me by A.L. Jackson

This book touched me in so many ways.  I related to Grace on a level I have never related to a character before.  For this reason, I found myself so emotionally involved in this beautiful and heartbreaking story that as much as I wanted to I couldn't just sit down and read it.  I felt all of her love and her pain, every now and then I just had to put it down, walk away, and recollect myself.

Grace is a mother of 3 incredible children.  She is in the middle of the custody battle of her life with her ex-husband, who happens to be a politician with a lot of pull.  Due to who her ex-husband is she is struggling to find any lawyer willing to take on her case.  She refuses to back down and let her ex-husband control her and rule her life.  She will do whatever it takes to make sure her kids are safe and happy.

Ian is an attorney.  His goal in life is to make partner at his law firm.  He doesn't plan on letting anything get in the way of that.  He had a rough childhood, and ended up involved with some people he shouldn't be.  He doesn't do relationships, doesn't believe in love, and doesn't think he has a heart.

Grace and Ian meet by chance at a gala.  He is captivated by her beauty, and can't get her out of his head.  Grace has an unexplainable attraction to him that goes deeper than just lust.  He doesn't believe in love, she can't risk a relationship due to her situation with her ex-husband.  Fate won't be denied though.  They are in for the fight of their lives,  will the end be worth the struggle?

I already said I related to Grace on a personal level.  Ian captured my heart so completely.  Each character so well written.  You could feel Malory's energy, sense Thomas's worry and protectiveness.  Gramma's knowledge, and wisdom just radiated.  Reed was so vile I could almost taste it.  This book was so real.  Every family deserves a hero.  This book gave me hope that mine is out there somewhere.
