Lawn Boys by K Webster
In typical K Webster fashion, Lawn Boys is a Hot read. This was a nice shorter book. Great if you are looking to fill a lonely night. I loved the relationship that developed between Stephanie and Anthony. Considered a Taboo Treat book because of the age difference between the characters, they are both of legal age, and consenting.
The Song of David by Amy Harmon
This is book 2 in her The Law of Moses series. I had read The Laws of Moses before listening to this audiobook, but I think this could easily be read as a stand-alone. This is the best audiobook I've listened to this year. The narrators are wonderful. The story is so touching and captivating. I laughed and cried. Tag is such a manly man, a fighter, and player to the core. That is until he meets Millie and his life gets turned upside down. This book felt real. I could easily picture the characters, and they way they interacted. I loved that the main characters each had their thing that made them unique, be it blindness, autism, or cancer. The way Tag learned to become a better man, not just for Millie and Henry, but for himself too, was so absolutely amazing and captivating.
Of Neptune by Anna Banks
This month I finished the third book of the Syrena Legacy series. I listened to all of these as audiobooks. Of Neptune was such a great finish to a good series. While I am sad to reach the end of the series, I can't think of a better way to end it. Once again a good clean story with fantasy elements and some mystery. Great YA novel.
Be sure to check out the individual posts for the other books I read in December.
