My Thoughts and Review:
Harley DeLuca was dealt a crap hand for life. She has had to fight for everything she has, and counts on no one but herself, with the exception of her grandfather and one best friend. Her mother is bad news, a drug addict, and only comes around when she needs something (usually money). She only met her sperm-donor of a father one time and all he did was offer her money to disappear. She has not let any of this stand in her way though. She has the opportunity of a lifetime in front of her, opening the bakery of her dreams, as long as she can handle her newest business partner.
Ford Montgomery is a workaholic. He spends all the time he possibly can running his billion-dollar company, and has no desire for a relationship of any kind. He is broody, and successful, the kind of man any woman would want.
These characters will reach out and tug every one of your heart strings. I thoroughly enjoyed so many of the characters in this book. The entire Montgomery family is incredibly, I can't wait to read more about this boys. Harley is such a strong woman, a character you can admire for everything she has over come. The way the relationship between Ford and Harley progresses is perfect.
This book has so much going for it. It seemed like every time something resolved itself for these characters there would be a new twist. The discovery of Harley's birth father was the biggest surprise of all I think.
