New Release and Review: Morning Star by S Massery

Blurb

DALTON

Our sins are written in blood, and only blood can atone for what we’ve done.

Retribution comes in unexpected forms. Mine has amber eyes. Golden hair. A smile that could kill. She was mine the minute I dragged her down to hell, and now we’re both paying the price.

I tried to save her… and failed.

GRACE

Rumors call him the Morning Star. My father only called him the devil.

The man who saved my life in one second and destroyed it in the next has returned for me. He says he’s not leaving until I’m his. The issue is, he’ll have to break past my grudge--and a pretty big gun--if he wants me.

I took a shot at the devil… and missed.

My Thoughts and Review:

First, have you met Dalton Kavanaugh?????  He is an A$$hole with a capital A.  But he the type of character that even when he is a supporting character you can't help but love.  After reading Blood Sky and Angel of Death I have been anxiously awaiting Dalton's story.  S. Massery blew this one out of the water.  Talk about a home run here.

In Morning Star we meet Grace Jones.  Daughter of a mob enforcer, forced into an engagement to the mob bosses son, after he tries to sell her as a sex slave.  Wait?!?.....What?!?  This girl is being put through hell by her own father.  I mean really that is some terrible luck.  Thank goodness Dalton comes to her rescue.  But who is really saving who here.

Dalton may be an a$$hole, but he has more than met his match with Grace.  She puts him in his place on more than one occasion.  Grace is just as amazing of a character as Dalton.  I love the way the whole crew comes to Dalton and Grace's aid.  In Morning Star we are joined by old favorites (Mason, Jackson, Zach, Griffin, Hadley, and Delia)  and we meet some new friends as well (Collin, and even Luca).

This book is absolutely amazing and will keep you turning pages right through to the end!!!!
