Review: My One Despair by Claudia Burgoa

This book had me falling in love, breaking my heart, then falling in love all over again.  Gage and Tess are such amazing characters.  Their love story is one of those meant to be romances that life tries to tear apart.

I loved how easy Gage and Tess worked together.  Even though he was just getting his singing career up and running, and she was busy with school, they just went with the flow.  They knew they wanted to be together, and so they let life happen.  They were, for the most part, trusting of each other.  Until Gage is faced with a decision no one should have to make.

I don't want to spoil this book for anyone, which makes it so hard for me to share everything I loved about this book.  I will say that each character is incredibly well written and developed.  The story line invokes every emotion possible.  While I was able to figure out, for the most part, the little mystery that tears them apart, it was still heartbreaking and true to life.  I really hope that maybe there might be future books about some of the supporting characters.  I would love a story about Tess's sister Hannah, or Gage's brother East.

I will leave you with one of my favorite quotes from this book.

"You have to live out loud, be truthful to who you are, and stop being afraid of life."- Gage
